Picture this, crystal clear waters, gentle breezes rippling through Virgin white sails, and the soothing sound of lapping waves. Discovering beautiful beaches inaccessible by land, swimming in little known coves and snorkeling amongst the brightly coloured fish. Now you’re getting the idea of what Gulet cruising in Turkey is all about. If you want to really escape from the pressures of life this is the way to do it. Those of you that have been to Turkey will no doubt know all about Gulets, but for those who haven’t here’s a brief explanation: traditional wooden, hand built, twin masted boats, around 60 foot in length. They have 3 or 4 crew including a captain and cook/deck hand. Although they are fully equipped with sails, a lot of the time they rely on motorised power. Meals are served on the shaded rear deck, with the front used as a sun deck with sun beds provided. What’s the regulation gulet uniform then? Well not a lot basically! You won’t need your sailor suit! Just plenty of swimwear, t-shirts, shorts, a hat, and a beach towel. It’s best to keep luggage to a minimum because of the limited storage space on board (we will arrange somewhere on shore to keep additional luggage if you chose a two-centre option). Buffet style breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided, as well as regular snacks throughout the day. Locally produced soft drinks are available from 8am until midnight. Passengers who don't want to buy bottled water that is sold on board are advised to bring their own water.
