"DELILLER HANI" S HISTORY
The Deliller Han was built by the second governer of Diyarbakir Hüsrev Pasha, to the front of Bezergan Han to serve to the merchants who were travelling go the countries on holy Hicaz and Silkroad , as Syria, Iran and India. The Han was built with mosque and medresse and whole building was consider as KULLIYE, it was constructed in 1521 and finished already in 1527. The Han consist of 72 rooms, 17 shops and a stall which has 800 camel capacity. The Han construction materials mainly were Local materials and mainly were black and white stones. Stones From Urfa. Black stones were brought from Kurtbogazi stonemine and white.

The portion of the Han was occupied by vakiflar ad ministration in 1988 and given a contrat to the Hotel Grand Kervansaray for 49 years. This historical place previously had been used as bazar, Today the hotels first principle is to give frist class service to all people of the world. Hotel Grand Kervansaray has been serving the public for years has 100 beds and a resraurant swiming pool which can entertain 3000 guest as well as a sauna , fitness center , ottoman bath , assorted bars , hairdressers for men and women , in door restaurant for 500 people and car park for 100 cars Authentic botanical , peacefiul and secure atmosphere. It also gained distinction for surving eart quakes Today It is prefered by local and froing tourist. Even though we renoveted the decoration in the year 2000 the remains true to its historical structure. We have 15 suites , 29 double rooms, and one single room , from which our many guest can choose. Additionally, in order to keep our history alive, we assing names of historical place to our all suit rooms. In addition to the Hotel Grand Kervansaray, we operate the Kervansaray 2 Hotel a 40,000 square meter family camping area, and a Kervansaray Petroleum and Resort established ten years ago on a 200.000 square meter plot. This will include a 2.500 person discotheque and a 2.500 person lecture hall, hotel, sauna, bath, swiming pool, bottanical pond, an track , a fifa - standart football field. We expect completion of this project in 5 years and look forward to serving the region.
